Bedroom Design · Kuala Lumpur
A room that holds
rest without effort.
Senari works with the bedroom as a whole — how light moves through it, where air sits, how storage is divided, and what the room asks of you each morning. The work is quiet. The results are considered.
What We Do
Three services,
one clear bedroom.
Each service is scoped to a specific part of the design process. You can commission one or all three, depending on where you are in your plans.
Service 01
Bedroom Brief and Quiet Audit
A short conversation focused on rest, storage, and morning routines, with an on-site audit of light, air, and the room's relationship to the rest of the home. Output is a written brief, a draft layout, and a short note on storage capacity.
- On-site light and air assessment
- Written brief and draft layout
- Storage capacity note
- Suitable for refits or post-change bedrooms
Service 02
Bedroom Documentation Package
Full documentation covering the bedroom and any adjoining walk-in or en-suite that shares its planning. Includes layout, joinery, lighting, finishes, soft furnishings, and 3D views. Two revision rounds included.
- Layout, joinery, lighting plans
- Finishes and soft furnishings schedule
- 3D visualisation views
- Two revision rounds · contractor-ready output
Service 03
Sourcing and Placement Day
Sourcing of furniture, soft furnishings, and lighting in two budget bands, with shortlists, sample reviews, and a placement visit on installation day. Includes a written summary of choices and a brief care note.
- Two budget-band shortlists
- Sample and material reviews
- On-site placement visit at installation
- Written summary and care note
Why Senari
Considered at each stage.
Light and Air First
Every audit begins with how light moves through the room across the day, and where air sits. These shape what works, before anything else is decided.
Clear Written Outputs
Each service produces a document you can hand to a contractor, joiner, or keep for your own reference. No verbal handoffs. No assumptions left to fill in.
One Point of Contact
You work with the same designer from brief through placement. The brief informs the documentation. The documentation guides the sourcing. Nothing gets lost.
Scope That Fits
Services can be commissioned individually or in sequence. If you only need a brief, that is a complete engagement. If you need all three, they are designed to connect cleanly.
Unhurried Process
The pace is set by what the room needs, not by a delivery calendar. Decisions are given enough room to settle before the next stage begins.

Questions
Common things people ask.
Do I need all three services?
No. Each service is a complete engagement on its own. The Brief and Quiet Audit is suitable if you want clarity before committing to a larger project. The Documentation Package stands alone if you already know your direction. The Sourcing Day is often booked on its own by clients who have plans but find the selection process time-consuming.
What is included in the on-site audit?
The audit looks at how light moves through the room at different times, where air enters and collects, current and potential storage positions, the room's relationship to adjoining spaces, and any constraints — structural or practical — that will shape the design brief. It takes roughly ninety minutes on site.
How long does the Documentation Package take?
Three to five weeks is typical from the first briefing session to the final contractor-ready set, depending on the scope of adjoining spaces and how quickly revision feedback is returned. Two revision rounds are included within the fee.
What does "two budget bands" mean in the Sourcing Day?
For each category — bed, soft furnishings, lighting, and so on — we prepare a shortlist at two price points. One is more considered in material or making; the other achieves a similar visual result at a lower spend. You choose from each category without having to source alternatives yourself.
Do you work outside Kuala Lumpur?
Our primary work is in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. We do take occasional projects in other parts of Peninsular Malaysia where the scope justifies travel. The best approach is to contact us with your location and a brief description of the room — we will let you know honestly whether the project is a good fit.
How do I begin?
Send a message through the form below, or call the studio directly. We will arrange a brief call — usually fifteen to twenty minutes — to understand the room and what you are hoping to change. From there we can confirm which service fits, and what the next step looks like.
